If you are currently looking for a personal trainer in Glasgow yet are confused by so many offerings and different prices, then this page is for you. What is Personal Training?Personal training is a one to one service where you have a private coach who guides you step by step through your gym sessions. The support doesn’t and shouldn’t end there though, a PT is promising you a result – the reason why you signed up to personal training in the first place and should offer a whole lot more support out with training sessions. It is worth keeping in mind that you’ll sometimes have personal training labelled as semi-private personal training, small group personal training and group personal training. In my opinion, you lose the personal part when you have more than one person to coach so that becomes group fitness coaching or perhaps couple gym sessions. What are the average Personal Trainer prices in Glasgow? Many gyms have a minimum pricing policy to stop new Personal Trainers undercutting everyone causing a price war. In my experience this is a race to the bottom and if you are price sensitive then I’d maybe consider other options like Online or Hybrid Coaching. This minimum price in most gyms is £25 per hour. Most established personal trainers will be charging monthly in way that factors in the support and guidance you get out with the scheduled gym sessions. If you like to think of things as a ‘per session cost’ then it may be better to think how much is the result I’m after worth to me? A specialist personal trainer in Glasgow will cost upwards of £200 per month. You can view my services, what personal training offers and pricing options at my personal training page. What happens when I sign up to Personal Training? This depends on the personal trainer however there should be a robust information gathering process in play.
The personal trainer will want to get to know about you, your goals, your injuries (if applicable) and what you have tried in the past in order to build a comprehensive picture. They’ll then work with you, using this information to break the goal down in to small, manageable steps to take your forward. Personal training is not a ‘drill instructor’ shouting at you to do more and forcing you to eat bland foods.
