​I’ve learned from many resources over the years and continue to do so. This blog shares some of the best free and paid for resources I’ve used as a personal trainer that you may be able to benefit from.

Institute Of Personal Trainers

The institute of personal trainers is a free business development community with tonnes of resources. There are online courses, done for you resources, white-label templates and much more on offer all for free with goal of helping your build your fitness business. It is worth a look for yourself by clicking here.

Free 5 Day Mini Courses

​These are drip fed to your inbox, delivered 1 lesson per day and feed into each companies certificated course program. The information within the 5 day mini-courses is great and is an awesome resource for getting started. You can then choose to dig in deeper and take up the full course if it is an area you want to take to the next level.

Precision Nutrition 

This is an awesome course that leads into their level 1 coaching course. The course outline is as follows:
  • What nutrition/lifestyle advice you can actually give.
  • How to get clients to follow that advice.
  • How to assess your client’s needs.
  • How to give advice based on that assessment.
  • What to measure and exactly how to measure it.
  • How to optimize a plan based on those measures.

Girls gone Strong - Pre/Post Natal

Girls Gone Strong have a whole host of free courses, this one is particularly useful for every PT. The outline for the mini course in Pre and Post-Natal coaching is as follows:
  • How a woman’s body changes at each stage of pregnancy and postpartum and how that impacts her nutrition, exercise, and mindset
  • The biggest myths (and truths) of exercise during pregnancy
  • How to navigate challenging conversations about body image, nutrition, exercise frequency and intensity, and postpartum exercise
  • What to do if your client experiences symptoms such as leaking, pelvic pain, low back, or heaviness during exercise
  • When and how to help your clients safely return to exercise after pregnancy

Online Trainer Academy

Online Trainer Academy had previously offered a 4 day mini-course but are now offering a free* copy of their book The Wealthy Fit Pros Guide to Online Training. *You just need to pay shipping and handling and you also get the audio-book and e-book to get started right away. Health and Fitness Education

Health and fitness education are a fitness training provider that can train you up from starting to being a fully fledged personal trainer. Courses on offer range from level 2 gym instructor courses all the way through to level 3 personal trainer courses to level 4 certifications.
